"Beneath the cloak of darkness the landscape was being robbed. The black of the night descended upon the valley and, like a vampire, began sucking the life from the hills. A rainbow of riches free for the taking and the night enveloped it all. From atop my mountain perch, I gazed upon the thieving abyss, wondering what spoils would remain come daybreak. When dawn finally cracked and forced the burglar to flee, to my surprise the treasure remained intact. As the sun arrived to polish its bounty it was clear the immense quantity had overwhelmed the midnight heister into indecision. Either that or it simply sought a private viewing of the immense fortune just as I had."
Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Good Morning" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Steve Miller Band track fit the bill perfectly for this morning sunrise and if you'd like to relive the joy I felt as the dawn revealed this valley of treasure I've included the song for you to play above.
