The weight of the anchor strengthens the tether to the lie of our capabilities but a willing heart is an unstoppable force. Determination and forgiveness can release the binds and set free the soul but a prickled past is a painful escape. Surrendering to the circumstances is a bitter pill compared to the bliss that awaits the pure hearted."
Purgatory on Earth, the Sands Study documents the elegant beauty of the hellish dune landscape. The lore of purgatory is one of intense suffering, a place designed to punish the souls vanquished to it in order to purify them for eternal peace. The Sands Study is my attempt to capture the peace within the brutal landscape of the sand dunes. You can read the entire series statement and browse the rest of the collection here.
