"Hallelujah"

Hawaii

"Few songs can send chills through me like Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”. The song is dark and ominous but full of grace and raw beauty. The echoing chorus is striking as the chanting voices hit like a night sky with a single fading star. That rolling fog put a shiver through my sunburnt body with similar conviction. The driving mist hit like an ice bath but that mountain hanging in the clouds consumed me with its darkness until I relented to its greatness."

Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Hallelujah" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Leonard Cohen track fit perfectly for this piece and if you'd like to feel the bone-chilling mist send a shiver through your body I've included the song for you to play above. To learn more about "Hallelujah" and its connection to the Leonard Cohen classic you can read its featured post as part of my "Behind the Title" blog series.

This photograph is a limited edition of 100 and will arrive hand signed and numbered on the media of your choosing. Prices vary with the remaining edition quantity, for current pricing or additional information about this piece please email me.
