"Into the Mystic"

Ontario

"There's peace at dawn. The fisherman believes in beating the sun to the water but the prize is not lurking in the depths. The water is still, the air damp, the Earth quiet as Mother Nature rests under the faint glow of a new day. The mirrored surface gently expands and contracts with the slowed rhythmic breathing of the sleeping queen. The reeds bob in the metallic fluid as their reflections sway like gypsies, luring sailors deeper into a calming trance. Silence suffocates the stray thought as tranquility drowns the world beyond. The fish may be hungry but there is no limit to this moment."

Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Into the Mystic" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Van Morrison track fit the bill perfectly for this piece and if you'd like to drift away into the mystic with me I've included the song for you to play above. To learn more about "Into the Mystic" and its connection to the Van Morrison song you can read its featured post as part of my "Behind the Title" blog series.

This photograph is a limited edition of 100 and will arrive hand signed and numbered on the media of your choosing. Prices vary with the remaining edition quantity, for current pricing or additional information about this piece please email me.
