"Every system on Earth is built on balance and balance, in turn, creates harmony. Tip the scales in one direction and an equal and opposite correction is required to restore equilibrium. The scale of good and bad that weighs on us is no different. Too much bad turns the scales into a mountain with a steep and slippery slope to overcome. Too much good and even the sweetest fruit starts to lose its appeal. But equal parts good and bad is not the recipe for balance in this system. Balance comes from acceptance. We can savor the good but we must acknowledge that bad will balance it out. Rolling with the punches of these combatant forces, accepting the nature of the system, that is how we find harmony."
Purgatory on Earth, the Sands Study documents the elegant beauty of the hellish dune landscape. The lore of purgatory is one of intense suffering, a place designed to punish the souls vanquished to it in order to purify them for eternal peace.
