"A treasure hidden deep in the mountains, this pile of gold laid waiting in the shadows. Stranded in the darkness, helpless, patience was the only way out. Morning arrived and the determined sun began its search for fortune. It flooded the hills with light, hoping to see the golden bounty glistening back but the night clung to its riches, entrusting the mountain to fend off the light. As the valley baked, the sun climbed higher until it eventually grew too high for the wall to withstand. Rays trickled over the peak, tickling the tops of the trees. As the sun conquered the summit the trees burst with color, erupting in a vibrant celebration as they rejoiced in the defeat of their captor."
Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Your Wildest Dreams" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Moody Blues track fit perfectly for this piece and if you'd like a taste of the wonder I felt watching this aspen forest glow in the morning sun I've included the song for you to play above.
