"The fleeting night air cut through the layers, gently grazing the skin just enough to raise some hairs. The brittle earth crunched beneath every footstep, crisp like the first bite of an apple. The palette of burnt oranges and screaming golds added definition to every leaf in a battle for brilliance. The building light of dawn splashed the landscape with cool tones in an effort to douse the autumn colors ablaze. A harmonious moment, I bathed in the peaceful stillness, drooling like the dew diffusing the essence of the season into the air. Dense and earthy it stung the lungs while simultaneously warming the soul."
Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Bright Side of the Road" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Van Morrison track was the perfect song for this piece and if you'd like to frolic through the ripe aspen leaves with me I've included the song for you to play above.
