"The bitter tends to overpower the sweet when a chapter of our life closes. For a brief moment we’re caught between the past and future, conscious of the page being turned. The past lingers with heavy nostalgia and hints of mortality. The future is drenched with enough uncertainty to conceal the blooming optimism. We feel our yesterdays fading and bid farewell with gratitude for the lessons they’ve taught us. Then look toward the new frontier of tomorrow, compose ourselves, and prepare to conquer the next adventure. It’s an odd place to find yourself but when you’re there it’s actually quite beautiful."
Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Don't Fade On Me" was carefully selected for that purpose.
