"Jolene"

Oregon

"A gem of the Pacific Northwest, this mammoth will make you feel reborn. Narcissism gets filtered out along the hike. The massive, prehistoric trees annihilate arrogance while the lush bed of ferns snip any lingering pompous tendencies. Whatever ego survives the forested trek is obliterated by the waterfall. Trapped in a pit of truth, the hundred foot cliff paralyzes the sinner, allowing the spray of the falls to cleanse the soul. Perspectives are realigned and attitudes reconfigured in this humbling amphitheater, placing you back into proper orbit around the sun."

Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Jolene" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Dolly Parton track fit perfectly for this piece and if you'd like insight into my affair with Abiqua Falls I've included the song for you to play above. To learn more about "Jolene" and its connection to the Dolly Parton song you can read its featured post as part of my "Behind the Title" blog series.

This photograph is a limited edition of 100 and will arrive hand signed and numbered on the media of your choosing. Prices vary with the remaining edition quantity, for current pricing or additional information about this piece please email me.
