"Just Breathe"

"The colors of fall are typically vibrant but when winter comes to clash with the season of change that vibrancy is accentuated. The hearty palette of toasted copper and deep evergreen cascading into the valley erupted out of the fresh powder. With the jagged slopes blanketed, the grand landscape turned center stage over to the dueling seasons below. Even the sky held back to allow the focus to fall on the crisp and vibrant textures flourishing in the snow. Winter had clearly won the battle for the thermostat but the autumn tones made for a cozy hike at the high altitude."

Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Just Breathe" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Willie Nelson track fit the bill perfectly for this piece which is one of three in my collection taken on a very sorrowful day. If you'd like a sample of the hurt I tried to freeze in the snow I've included the song for you to play above. To learn more about "Just Breathe" and the rest of the Willie Nelson trio you can read its featured post as part of my "Behind the Title" blog series.

This photograph is a limited edition of 100 and will arrive hand signed and numbered on the media of your choosing. Prices vary with the remaining edition quantity, for current pricing or additional information about this piece please email me.
