"Whispering Hope"

"A clash of seasons made for an extraordinary scene. Fall had been basking in the spotlight when an anxious winter arrived to cool it down. The September flurry underestimated its enemy as the invading cold snap failed to shake autumn’s stronghold. When the dust settled, a frosted battlefield remained. The cool tones of winter laid strewn across the landscape only enriching the vibrant golden soldiers still clinging to their perch. The ambush may have been unsuccessful but as the morning light swept through the valley a peaceful resolution was revealed."
Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Whispering Hope" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Willie Nelson track fit the bill perfectly for this piece which is one of three in my collection taken on a very sorrowful day.
