"Dance Me to the End of Love"

Italy

"A field full of poppies and yet the tree draws the eye. The tension in the sky balances the bright blossoms of spring leaving the focus centered on the tree. Prepared to withstand the imminent storm, its greatest threat is the eventual departure of the poppies. The cardinal red dotted field will become green again costing the tree its spotlight. For a moment this landscape has a symbiotic harmony for the rain will pass, the petals will drop, and the lonesome tree will be just that once more."

Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Dance Me to the End of Love" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Leonard Cohen track fit perfectly for this piece and if you'd like to tango in the poppies while the storm rolls in I've included the song for you to play above. To learn more about "Dance Me to the End of Love" and its connection to the Leonard Cohen song you can read its featured post as part of my "Behind the Title" blog series.

This photograph is a limited edition of 100 and will arrive hand signed and numbered on the media of your choosing. Prices vary with the remaining edition quantity, for current pricing or additional information about this piece please email me.
